Description

CSR’s breakthrough single-chip BlueCore BC7820 addresses the increasing need for diverse and sophisticated wireless feature sets. Combining Bluetooth and FM Rx/Tx, BC7820 offers a highly-integrated embedded wireless solution. The tiny, power-efficient ROM chip strips away a host of time-consuming tasks for OEMs in managing integration and coexistence, while demonstrating superb performance. BlueCore BC7820 soundly demonstrates CSR’s leadership in embedded wireless technology.

Integrated FM reception and transmission

BC7820's FM implementation adds short-range FM/RDS transmission, opening up additional applications for handset manufacturers.
The transmitter can be used to stream MP3 audio over FM to an automobile's infotainment system.
BC7820 allows the Bluetooth and FM radios to work without interference, either independently or together, to allow users to stream FM radio from a handset to a pair of Bluetooth headphones.
The FM receiver boasts a sensitivity of -110dBm and features inbuilt speaker drivers to allow users to connect headphones directly to the device.
